Kids Meditation to cope with anxiety through Covid

As a former teacher and mother of 2 daughters I believe I understand children. Life can be tough for kids, with emotions but particularly now with the challenges we are facing through this global pandemic. Children may experience worry, anxiety and fear, and this can include the types of fears, listening to adults or the news with a fear of COVID and what it means.

Another lockdown and schools closed, children have lost the daily structure and stimulation of their friends and education, with little social support that is essential for good mental health and overall wellbeing.

We should encourage children to take time out and meditate, it can be incredibly helpful for children to slow down, breathe deeply and clear their little minds.

When kids practice, Yoga, Pilates and Meditation they are essentially practicing their ability to focus on the task at hand.

Implementing Meditation and Pilates as part of our children’s day, will teach kids fun breathing techniques, Mindfulness and calming exercise. We use elements of Play and Fun to bring Pilates and Yoga exercises to life.
