Is Coronavirus affecting Gyms and Fitness Studios?

As a fitness instructor I believe Coronavirus is having an affect on fitness enthusiasts, especially in larger gym environments, where hundreds of clients are passing through daily, sanitizing every machine, and door handle would be hard to keep up with, after every single human contact.

The secretion of sweaty hands and bodies, on gym equipment, just cannot be avoided, if staff and members, wipe down machines with sanitizing wipes, we should not have a problem.

If using communal showers after your workout, refrain from shaving your bits and bobs and use the toilet if you need to pee as we certainly do not want contact with other bodily fluids, increasing additional risks to infection.

Attending smaller studios with limited people in a class, lowers the risk even more, as it is easier to manage the hygiene process. I teach at Studio Lagree, with 16 Megaformers, which are sanitized by each client after every class, so the risk is very low.

Remember health is your priority, so you certainly do not want to let your fitness level drop, during this outbreak. If you are feeling unwell, stay home.

Take care of your health and protect others by doing the following:
